I’m not familiar with the comic series upon which this is based, but I didn’t think I needed to. This might have been the most visually stimulating movie I’ve ever seen. All the little “rrrrings” and “beeeeeps” together worked wonders, continually enticing me with the film. Occasionally it would skew into sheer absurdity, but it was a necessary aspect of the movie. And it takes place in Canada to boot.
