This is a movie about card counting; you can only do so much to make it visually interesting, and they obviously did not do enough. It was based off a real to life event with Asian MIT students, yet the actors are mostly white, and the main character is a Brit who needs to conceal his accent because he narrated the film. Kevin Spacey is extremely bland and one-dimensional, but Laurence Fishburne did a very good job. I was disappointed with the ending, which seemed to be the typical “boy gets girl” finale.
