The Expendables If you look past the action-for-the-sake-of-action plot, the superstar cast who doesn’t deliver the full truckload of excellence you’d think they should, and the sloppily-written dialogue, this is a good movie. (But that’s a lot of stuff to look past, and all those explosions are hard to ignore.) That being said, my favorite character was probably Statham, for his knife-throwing skills if nothing else. He sure loves to stab people in the throat. 4 / 5
