This movie will leave you with a new appreciation for therapists, especially the unqualified, underage ones. Anton Yelchin delivers a top-notch performance as a smartass teenager whose one goal of high school is to become popular. Robert Downey Jr.’s role as an alcoholic principal was decent, but the real star was Kat Dennings. She was great as a vocally-talented lover interest for Yelchin. I loved the plot and dialogue, especially Yelchin’s lines with Downey Jr. I would highly recommended this movie if you love all the above actors and if you love teen movies.
